  • Enables you to organise your information that supports your dissertation statement
  • Clarifies thoughts and develops ideas
  • Identifies weak areas in your argument
  • Makes the actual writing process an easier one and saves your time

Today, most of the subjects like medical, psychology etc demand outline APA style. However, preparing an outline in APA style can be an arduous and tedious task. To make this process an easier one, we with the help of UK dissertation writers, have enlisted the critical elements that need to be followed while developing an outline in APA style.

Title Page

Title page, the first page in your dissertation, consists of key details of your research.  The title page should have a running head and must include three major pieces of information.

  1. Dissertation title

  2. Author’s full name

  3. Name of the publishing institution

These information must be center-aligned and should be included in the top half of the title page. Also, make sure that you include additional information (if you are asked) such as date etc beneath these information and not above or in between the information.

Body of the dissertation

The body of the dissertation consisting of an introduction, method, analysis section is a crucial part in your dissertation. In addition to the Universal APA rules such as font style being Times New Roman, font size being 12 etc, the body of the dissertation must start with the title of your dissertation and must be centered at the top of the page. This should be followed by the body (arguments, ideas/concepts, research methods) of your dissertation with the apt indentation and spacing.

Note,

  1. If you want to include an Abstract or table of contents section then it must be included between title page and body of a dissertation.

  2. Include tables, figures, charts etc to support your arguments.

Reference page

The reference page starts with “references” centered on the first line. This must be followed by

a list of references you cited in your dissertation. References must be enlisted in alphabetical order and any references beginning with numbers must be alphabetised. If you are not aware as to how to do it, click here to take help from UK dissertation writers.
